| High-Speed,
State-of-the-Art F-Series Robot
Kawasaki Robotics (USA), Inc. has introduced a new F Series line
of high speed, high performance robots. The new state of the art
Kawasaki F Series robots are designed to be compact and lightweight,
and operate at high speeds with a high degree of accuracy over a
large work envelope.
The Kawasaki F Series design is a direct response to our customers'
needs. There are 17 variants that perform a wide range of applications
including material handling, arc welding, sealant dispensing, clean
room operation, and washing. The modular construction allows the
customer to select from a wide variety of robot modules and arm
combinations for various reaches and payloads. This modular construction
also allows for easy modification of existing F Series robots, by
using common components. Due to their light weight and use of high
output high efficiency motors, the F Series is capable of moving
at high speed, which significantly decreases cycle times and increases
productivity. The installation space requirement is very small,
yet with its wide range of motion the work envelope is exceptionally
large. The extremely slim arm construction allows the F Series robot
to operate in confined areas that would otherwise be inaccessible
to more bulky robots.
The F Series reduces cycle time with up to 20% speed increase over
previous models, with maximum speeds up to 11,100 mm/s and position
repeatability to ±0.05 mm.
The F Series works in very confined area and its simplified vertical
alignment configuration allows for a high density peripheral equipment
layout. The robot pedestal houses the joint 1 axis/motor, reducing
the required floor space.
The F Series provides a variety of configurations. The conversion
packages allow existing robots to be modified to accommodate changes
in application, reach, or payload. The F Series can be floor, ceiling,
or wall mounted.
