Clean Room - A clean room is used for manufacture or assembly (e.g., precision parts) and is maintained at a high level of cleanliness by special means. The primary consideration for a robot operating in a clean room is that it must be sealed and not contaminate the work area.

Washing: For robots used in washing operations, it is important that the robot be sealed to prevent washing solutions from entering the robot and contacting electrical components. A special water-resistant cover can be utilized to protect the robot.
The Kawasaki FW03N wash-down robot is equipped with special seals and hardware for use in wet conditions. A cover is not required on this unit.
