Kawasaki Robotics (USA), Inc. (Wixom, MI.) offers a new robotic palletizing system utilizing the ZD130/250 Kg 4-axis articulated arm palletizing robots and a Kawasaki Palletizing Software package. The Kawasaki ZD Series robots are designed for heavy-duty payload applications requiring a flexible work envelope and minimal dead space. The robot lends itself easily to be utilized in all palletizing applications.

The robots feature a large working envelope, high speed palletizing capability and a simplified teaching system for palletizing. The ZD series robots can handle payloads from 130 to 250 Kg.

The Kawasaki Palletizing Software includes a “Palletizing Function” to the Kawasaki C-Controller and is operated via an auxiliary function of the multi function teach pendant. This function allows the data regarding pallets, parts, and patterns to be registered in an interactive format. A simple teaching process completes the requirements for the palletizing function. Palletizing patterns available include column (barred) stacking, interlock, pinhole, circular arc, and custom teaching patterns.
