Other Products: Servo Weld Guns
Servo weld guns, equipped with Kawasaki servo motors and encoders, have superior control characteristics compared to conventional air cylinder type weld guns. This improves welding quality, decreases cycle time, reduces noise, and saves energy.

  • Reduced Cycle Time: The electrodes can be set to stop at any position along the pressure axis within their range of motion. By setting the electrode-to-electrode distance (stroke) to a minimum clearance following a weld, the tact time is reduced and the productivity of the robot system is increased.
  • Low Noise: Servo weld guns are quieter than air guns because they do not produce air exhaust noise. Impact noise is also reduced because the electrodes contact the work softly.
  • Low Impact: Electrodes decelerate before contacting the work. This controlled motion extends the life of the electrodes and produces high quality welds.
  • Pressure Control: The clamping current can be controlled, which allows the clamping pressure to be set for various panel materials and thicknesses.
  • Energy Efficient: Because there is no air compressor loss, energy efficiency is improved by 75% over air guns.
  • Gun Changer Compatible: More than one gun can be used for a robot. After the guns have been exchanged, the home position of the new gun is automatically set.
